When Eyes Last Close

Even when eyes last close,
Ultimate words said.
When final breath rose,
One's not dead.

Thy spirit lives vividly,
Thy soul continues.
You join the heavenly,
Travel new avenues.

Thy past mold decays,
Thy grave flowers.
You're with Apollo's rays,
Soaring for hours.

They thought you perished,
No longer being.
Perhaps only as spirits,
Do eyes start seeing.
